Cell Phones can cause cancer!

I read this article that I want to share about. Frequent cell phone usage can increase your odds of developing brain cancer, because the device releases radiation. Roughly 30 studies have explored the possible connection between cell phones and brain tumors. Most did not find any significant association, but some did. However, the research wasn't ideal. For example, the data in many studies came from people already diagnosed with brain cancer. What's more, because most people have not been using cell phones for long, it's difficult to gauge the impact that might occur after decades of use.

Nevertheless, a Maine state legislator introduced a bill to require that cell phones be packaged with a warning that they might contribute to brain cancer. Concerned? You can lower your exposure by using a headset.

Tap Fish, Amazing App on iPhone

I was already in bed when I remembered that I hadn't type anything on my blog today. I was busy preparing our clothes for our family visit this Thursday. Then i'm getting busy on my husband's fish tank. That app is really cool. I had to feed his fish and clean the tank. Then, I can visit the neighbor's tank, clean and feed the fish when they are hungry. After doing that, I can earn experience and earn some coins which is added on my money.

I'm really enjoying that app. My husband thinks i'm getting addicted now on the fish tank. I always checked it every now and then to make sure my tank and the fish are clean and needs to be feed

Last Immunization Shot

Tomorrow is Charles last immunization shots. I'm getting excited to know how much he weighs now and how long his height is. Before his height was 30 and his weight was only 20 lbs. He's picky on the food sometimes. When he wants something to eat that he really likes he will eat it for the couple of days. I hope he can't get any fever after his shot. Specially this is the last one. Maybe they will add a little bit more dosage on the vaccine that his getting tomorrow.

We'll have to ask his Pediatrician about Rota virus. I've seen on tv that FDA ordered on Doctors about postponing the use of this vaccine. So far, since he started his immunization shot he only got a fever once.

Seabiscuit, a Great Movie

My husband and I just watched Seabiscuit movie on dvd. It was a great movie. I really liked it a lot. Before, I used to refused a lot when my husband is inviting me to watch a movie on dvd. The reason was when the movie is old or its black and white I will not watch it. But my husband always insists that the movie is really good. Great story, academy award winners who plays on the role or five star rating.

Now, if we have a movie to watch on dvd it gets me excited. Watching a movie with my husband is our bonding time together. Before we had Charles we always watch movie at the theater. Having Charles around changes everything. But its okay we're very blessed to have him.

My Cupcake

I had baked cupcake tonight and it turned out really good. My husband liked it a lot. Although he doesn't need to eat a lot of it. It's sweet and its not good for him. He's a type 2 diabetic. But sometimes he couldn't help himself of not eating sweets like Hershey's chocolate bar or anything that are sweets. He must have something sweet to eat.

I'm really proud that my cupcake turned out really good. It was my first time to baked cupcake. Next time, I will try to decorate my cupcake and I will put an icing.

So Far So Great

Since I started weaning Charles from breastfeeding seems like he's getting into bed early. Although he won't sleep through the night at least I can work things when his asleep. I'm still trying of letting him sleep on his bed but when he noticed that he's on his bed he will get up and will just climb up into our bed. I think Charles doesn't want to be by himself. Just like his aunt Cheryl. She doesn't want to be alone in the house.

I hope Charles won't be scared just like her aunt. He needs to be on his own like sleeping in bed by himself. When he grow a little bit older we will let him sleep on the other room.

My Husband thinks i'm silly

When I was in the Philippines, I drink occasionally. When I get here, I tried to buy Heineken. I am curious how it taste like and it tasted like SMB. Every time I will put Pepsi on my beer my husband thinks i'm silly. I'll always say, that's how we drink in the Philippines. Sometimes I will offer my husband a drink but he would always say eeewww it's nasty. He even doesn't drink coffee or iced tea, he thinks its nasty.

But i'm really glad that my husband don't have any vice. He plays his x-box but he already knew what am I gonna do with his x-box when I get mad.

Got my Biometrics Schedule

I checked the mail box today. I got a letter from the USCIS. When I opened the letter, it was my Biometrics Schedule. My appointment will be on April 6, 2010 at 2 p.m. Although my appointment would be in St. Louis again just like my first Biometric. Its a long trip and then the Biometrics would only take 5 minutes to get it done. The worst part is we have to pay for the parking space even if will only take few minutes to stay on the building.

That's how Government make money. At least, I had my Biometric Schedule early than I was expected. Hopefully my 10 years Green Card will arrive early after my Biometrics is taken.

NCAA Tournament

I had watched Basketball this afternoon. It was Missouri Tigers vs West Virginia. The game was really bad. Mizzou couldn't score specially on the second half. They had lots of great chances to lead the game against West Virginia but still they can't shot the ball. But the biggest shocker on the Tournament is; when Kansas lost yesterday. They are the number one team in the Nation and got eliminated as quick as that.

My husband was happy when Kansas lost to Northern Iowa. He doesn't like Jayhawks.

First Day of Spring

Today is the first day of Spring. Unfortunately, feels like we're still on the winter. Freezing rain outside and now its getting started to snow. The temperature is about 32 degrees fahrenheit. I hope this kind of weather won't last long so we can enjoy the spring break of my husband.

It was very cold outside. I was freezing to death. I didn't wear my gloves when we go out. I wasn't expecting that this would be very cold.

Nothing to Say on my Blog

I really don't have much to say on my blog tonight. I already shared my story on the things that I've done today with my two other blogs. I couldn't imagine keeping up of having different blog account. I only have three blogs account but I keep on thinking what am I going to type on my blog? I don't have followers so nobody would read my blog.

Looking forward to improve on my web-page so at least somebody would be interested in following all of my blogs hahaha.

Beautiful Day

Thanks God! The weather today was very nice. It was warmer as I expected. Charles and I went outside and we had really fun playing on his football. We also played hide and sick on the mailbox. He was just screaming every time i'll say "peekaboo". Then we just walked on the way to Rapid Roberts to get Drumstick. It was really nice being outside and enjoyed the weather.

We also have a nice weather for tomorrow. The temperature is around 60's. What a great day to start with for Doug's Spring Break.

Nice Weather for Tomorrow

When Doug arrived home this afternoon, he decided that we will eat outside. So we went to Cheddar's in Springfield. I thought the place would be busy on St. Patrick's Day but its not as I was expected. Though we had to wait for fifteen to twenty minutes. Luckily, Charles was enjoying sitting on his hair chair. Unfortunately, I wasn't happy on the server tonight. He messed up on my order so I had to wait another minutes of my food.

Doug told me not to be upset or ruined my night but that kind of stuff. I think Doug is right. Besides we had a good day today to be thankful for. I'm looking forward for tomorrow's weather. The temperature is about 60's and it would be warmer enough to go outside with Charles and play on the grass.

Weaning Challenge

I really don't have much to say on my blog today. Well, Doug and I talked that we need to start weaning Charles from breastfeeding. We started it last night. At first he started crying. When he was on living room I let him watched on tv and he stayed up very late. He fell asleep around 1:40 am on the high chair. When I put him on his bed he never cry, he was just so tired.

After few hours of slept he woke and wants to be breastfed. I decided its better to get up early rather than staying in bed and he wants to be breastfed. So far, he didn't throw a feet every time i'll say no on him. I hope this won't last long so he can understand that he doesn't want to be breastfed anymore. He's grown up now.

Mango Smoothies

I went to Walmart today. I was so excited when I saw ripe mangoes. I know what i'm gonna making with those mango. I'll make "mango smoothies" but in the Philippines we call it "mango shake". I decided to get a couple of mangoes and besides it was on rollback price. This is one of my favorite fruits when I was in the Philippines so "Cheers". Charles likes the mango smoothies. I can't wait for him to try another treats when I was in the Philippines.

Like, "ice candy" flavored with mango, sugar and condensed milk. In here, I couldn't see ice candy wrapper at the store so i'll just put the mango on a blender then I will add whip cream and condensed milk so it would taste like mango ice cream.

It Wasn't Fun

We just assembled the crib today. I don't see any problem why the crib was on the recalled lists. The crib parts that came from the manufacturer are still the same as what we have. Still, we need to set up the new crib parts and make it a new crib for Charles and throw the older crib. It wasn't fun as I was expected. We had to put lots of screws on the crib to tighten it up. As usual Doug doesn't like setting up things together.

The crib is convertible to toddler bed so we decided to made it as bed so Charles can start to sleep on his bed. Its been a long time wherein Charles sleep on our bed. I think tonight would be the best start to let him sleep on his own. We'll try who knows he'll like it that way.

New Crib Parts Arrived

When we found out that my son's crib was on the recall lists, I was worried. Although he never sleep on his crib as he sleep on our bed with us. Still, we had to inform the manufacturer so they can send parts of the crib that needs to be repair. We sent the model number last week and luckily today we got a new parts of the crib that we have to install tomorrow. Felt like we had a whole new set of crib thing except for one thing. We still have to use the old mattress support which still in good condition and they are made of metal.

I'm looking forward to assembling the crib tomorrow. I want to help my husband as his fingers are kinda chubby and we have lots of bolts to put on the crib. It reminds me of the time we decorated my son's room before his arrival.

Thank God its Friday

We went outside tonight for dinner. It was very chilly and raining really bad. On our way back home, I told my husband to stopped by at Soul Market so I can buy "pinoy foods". When we get there, it was already closed. I had no idea what time they get closed so my husband will just go back again when he go to Springfield tomorrow on his friends house. I really don't have much to say tonight. I felt cold and shivering. Though it was kinda fun when Doug told me to looked at on Charles. He was trying to unlock our door using our car keys haha.

I'm looking on the lottery draw tonight. Hope we gonna win the jackpot. I bought four tickets for tonight but my husband had no idea how many tickets we have. He doesn't mind, I was the one who always bought the tickets.

Sweet Corn

Last night when I went to Walmart I bought two bags of corns. When I was in the Philippines we never used to eat corn as we always eat rice every meal. We only eat corn as a snack or when somebody is selling the food. When I get here, I have no idea how corn is part of a meal as one of your sides with the other food that your eating. I had no idea that Frozen corns still taste sweet and they are still fresh even when frozen.

When I was new here in the US, I really don't like buying Frozen foods as I want to cook every time I will eat. But now, I really appreciate Frozen foods and just put it on the microwave. I save time preparing my food and still taste good just like newly harvest from the farm.

What a Beautiful Day

I woke up this morning with a very bright sunshine that shines unto our window. My son Charles and I went outside and take some walked. We also run around on the grass which Charles really likes being outside. The weather today looked great. The temperature is around 70 but there is a possibility of Tornado warning later at night. The only scary part of living here on the mid-west is the Tornado. Now that I have a kid I need to make sure that whenever there is a Tornado warning i'll just clear off our tub in case we need to stay on our bathroom.

I can't wait to have a very nice weather without thinking of having a Tornado Warning. I still remember the time that I just got here. There was a Tornado Warning. I heard sirens outside so I called my husband at school. He told me that I had to go to the bathroom and take some blankets with me. Yeah it was nerve racking.

One Year Extension on my Green Card

Finally! I've got a letter from the USCIS today. They sent a Receipt Notice on the petition that we filed regarding on my Removing of Visa Conditions. They already in-cashed our payments which made me felt relieved. I wasn't comfortable when my husband checked our accounts online maybe other people in-cashed our checked. My Green Card for two years is extended to another year. Within this year I can still travel while my papers is being processed. In this year also I must wait for another notice for my fingerprints, photo and signature for my biometrics schedule.

I'm hoping that i'll do my biometric on another place not in St. Louis. It was a long trip just like what I did before on biometric. It only took few minutes for my biometric but we have to pay for the parking lot even if we only stayed at the building for a couple of minutes.

No Board games tonight

My husband just get back home form work today. I was very happy when he told me that he will not go to his friends house tonight to play board games. His friend Rick got sick. Sometimes, I don't want him to go like playing games on his friends house. I knew that his tired from work so he needs some rest and spend more time with our son. My husband was very happy to informed me that his blood sugar reading this morning turned out good. He is watching on the food that he's eating now.

I'm looking forward that the changes that his been doing for himself would turned out great. I knew that he has health issues so I am just so worried about my husband. He needs to live longer for his family. I don't want him to get sick as we live farther from his sisters. He has lots of friends that I can count on in times of emergency but its really different when someone got sick.

A beautiful day

It was very nice outside today. I drove our car at the school's parking lot. There was a girl that was driving also. My son Charles likes when he saw the train passed by. Then we went to the park. Charles wasn't scared to climb up on the slides. He was just enjoying every minute of it. Although there was a kid that came on our way and doesn't want to let Charles played on the blocks. I knew that there are parents doesn't teach their kids how to share toys even if it was at the park.

Any way, I was happy the way I drove our car today. My speed was only 20 and i'm getting there pretty soon. Like driving the speed limit. I drove down to the curve which made me nervous a little bit. I'll just keep practicing now that my husband is not too busy on his job.

Amazing App on iPhone

Nowadays, we are very lucky to live our life with modern technology. Gadgets like, Cellphone. My husband has a 3g iPhone which he really loved. He can store lots of our pictures, thousands of songs that he listened to. Browse the internet as faster the computer does. The most amazing app that he has is Fun Deluxe Words. Our son Charles likes playing on that app. It helped developed on childs mental ability to say a word or letter. He will just slide his fingers to point into the letter to create a word and spell the word after wards.

Modern Technology really helped for every body. As long as you used it on the right way. I am not good on typing a text message on the iphone. My husband just laughed at me, even though his fingers are chubby than mine. I'll just stick into my razor phone which I do really like.

Into Reality Shows

I had watched the season finale of The Real Housewives of Orange County last night. I just loved watching reality shows. I couldn't imagine people act who they really are in front of the camera. Just like Simon and Tamra, why do they have to let the camera rolling while they argued? As for me, personal matters shouldn't be public and millions of people watched the show.

My husband always asked me why do I have to watch reality shows specially The Real Housewives? I just said, that I loved the show and they are acting like crazy. Like Lynne, why she has to spent a thousand bucks of jackets when she knew that they had been sent a eviction noticed for their house? As the economy is getting worse, we need to make some cut backs on the leisure that we're used to. In that case we can save a little bit of money to help us in the future.

Under the Knife to be Beautiful and Taller

Our Internet Connection today is still the same as last night. I already called my husband so he can call our service provider but they only answered that we have a good modem than the other residents here on the apartment complex. Yesterday, there was two guys working on something at the back of the apartment. Maybe, there is a loose wiring that is why our connection is on and off.

Anyway, I had watched Oprah yesterday. I was astound how some people in China spend thousands of money just to go under the knife, the surgery. To make them beautiful and taller. Had they think about the side effects after the surgery? Longer recovery that would take six months? As for me, I would never undergo any surgery just to make me beautiful. True beauty comes from within your heart. The real you makes you beautiful.

Internet Problem

I am not very happy right now while I am typing this blog. Our internet connection isn't working very well. I have to unplug the wirings and put it back again to reconnect. I told my husband that he needs to call our service provider so that they can fix it right away tomorrow. We have a good internet connection these fast few months but only tonight it didn't worked out good. I really need to use the computer tonight, as I am working with other things on the computer. I have few questions to be ask and I have to use my messenger.

It feels like my heart is racing right now. My throat is kinda dry and feels like I want to shout. I am really disappointed how our internet worked tonight. I'm just hoping that tomorrow would be different. I missed our high speed internet even this internet messed up only took few hours till now.

At the Movies

It's been a long time that my husband and I didn't watch a movie together. Our son Charles is 17 months old, now is the time wherein he doesn't wanna sit on our lap and he doesn't like when we're holding on him. He wants down and run around all over the place. Here in the US, watching a movie is different. I couldn't hear people talking each other before the movie starts and while the movie is playing. Celfone's are being turned off and they have respect for one another. In the Philippines, when you watch movie, you can hear loud conversations, talking on the fone while the movie is going on.

My husband watched Shutter Island. He told me that it was really good. I really wanna watch that movie but I don't want to go to the movie by myself. I guess I'll just wait till its out on dvd. I know this would take a while. I will just watch another movies on Netflex or maybe play some songs on Guitar Hero.

The Bachelor

I had watched The Bachelor tonight. I was kinda upset that Jake didn't picked Tenley. She is very sweet and loving person. I think she's very nice inside and out. Still Tenley had some unanswered questions from Jake when they face each other after the Final Rose. I don't think Jake and Vienna would last longer on their relationship. Vienna is like a childish for me.

But anyway, I am glad that the next The Bachelorette is Ali. If she didn't go home for her job I guess maybe Jake would end up choosing on her. They used to had a good chemistry and Ali was falling in love with Jake. But if you're really meant for each other, god will make a way. Ali and Jake are not meant for each other. I'm sure this season of The Bachelorette would be very exciting, fun and lots of drama. Can't wait to see the show.
