Hey its Friday!

April 27, 2012

I am glad it is Friday and my husband will be home a little early today. My son Charles is feeling so much better and he does not have any fever at all. Thanks God! Still he does not want to eat foods just like he used to. Well it is going to be a busy day for me. I have to clean up the house and hang up our clothes. And for my blogs I am planning to spend more time of this Blogger's new look. It still confuses me and I am having a hard time to figured out this new look.

Last night, I had a blog post and it took me 10-15 minutes just to looked the text alignment. Oh it was a mess and my eyes were hurting. Anyway, I'd better get off in here now and start cleaning. And just heard my baby and he wants to eat animal crackers. Wish he would eat rice and chicken, his favorite!

Savannah Collections

April 25, 2012

My husband and me are planning on moving this summer. For the last year we have talked about buying new furniture for our living room. Though not horrible our furniture is getting older and we just really want to upgrade our living room for our new house. We both have found that we love the styles available from the furniture manufacturer, Thomasville. The styles and colors available are perfect for any style of room. Thomasville though is not just living rooms, they have great bedroom, dining room, office and any other rooms furniture that you could want. I also found a great site online for their products, http://www.savannahcollections.com. Savannah Collections also offers free shipping as well as their great stock of affordable furniture.

I am disappointed

I accepted an opportunity on IPL for the payout rate of $13 and now this opportunity was only offered for .50 cents. I am very disappointed. To be honest I'd rather removed this post on my blog even though I have not yet received payment for this opportunity. To me .50 cents of payout rate is just like a slap in the face. I did my best and typed more than 200 words because I was thinking of the payout rate that is kinda higher than I was expected from the site. For now, even though there are $2 on the opportunities I will not take it. It is just like a waste of time and advertisers are taking advantage to some bloggers who accept opportunities for a very low amount (like .50 cents) of money.

My Selecta Ice Cream

April 22, 2012

I had a busy weekend. Charles and I shopped yesterday and I found great deals at the mall. My husband bought a new fish tank and 3 guppies. I also went to the Asian store, Manna Oriental Market and bought selecta ice cream, sack of rice and other Filipino products. I am kinda disappointed that I could not find any jackfruit of all the Asian stores that I've been to.
Anyway, the other day I got an email from BSI. An advertiser wants to put an article for this site and I am very skeptical about it. The advertiser does not want the article to be labelled as guest post or sponsored post. I just don't like accepting article when they have ads already. Yes I got so many pageviews from the article that was posted few weeks ago and I know the reason why.

Miami Airport Parking

April 19, 2012

Every couple fights at times many times about nothing. Yes nothing! My husband, Doug and I have issues and parking is one of them. He gets frustrated every time he cannot find a close parking spot when we were at Walmart or almost anywhere else. I remember we went to watched a Mizzou college football game in Columbia, Missouri. We could not find a close parking spot. We saw a parking garage that offered parking spots. We ended up parking at the garage and Mizzou ended up winning the game so it ended up being a great day. Of course we have to pay for the parking there.

To me paying for parking is not all bad. It means keeping your car safe and your helping someone else generate income. How much more when you travel to Miami? Miami is a very busy area where rich and famous hangout as their playground. If you’re heading to Miami for your summer vacation miami airport parking is not a problem. Today you can find very inexpensive parking for as low as 6.99 to 10.99 for one day parking.

Brgy. fiesta

I am originally from Leyte, Philippines and fiesta is a huge celebration. In just two weeks is our Brgy. fiesta and I really missed fiesta a lot. I missed all the foods that are being served on this occasion. Families and friends visit to our house and it has been five years that I never get to see them. Though we are planning to visit this year but I am thinking traveling with a toddler. It is a very long flight and Charles doesn't like sitting for a very long period of any trips we had. Then I have to renew my Passport when the school year is over and it is a long trip down to Chicago, Illinois.

Yes, even renewing my Passport is in Chicago even though we live here in Arkansas. That is where the Philippine Consulate is located so we have to go there for my Passport. But instead of driving to see around Chicago, we are planning to ride an airplane and go back home on the same day. It is more practical than driving for 6 hours and spend more on gasoline as well.

Manhattan Saddlery

April 17, 2012

Spring has sprung and everybody is loving the beautiful weather and so do I. It is the perfect time to walk around the house and get out to do things that you would love to do, like horseback riding. Horseback riding is gaining popularity as an international sport. I have not ridden a horse in my whole life and I would love to try it someday. I have a friend in Springfield, Missouri, Imelda and her husband own a farm and they have a couple of horses. She has her own saddles every time they go for a horseback ride around the farm and she loves it.

Horseback riding in South America uses horseback riding gear like a good saddle or sillas de montar in Spanish. If you’re looking for any horseback riding gear and apparel Manhattan Saddlery is your Saddlery shop that are well worth the price. The store has been around for many years and has knowledgeable staff to help you out with your purchase. The store offers free shipping on orders over of $200 or more.

Zenni Optical

April 16, 2012

For the last few days now my eyes has been hurting really bad. My sisters-in-law all think I should go get my eyes checked. I have not gotten my eyes checked even though I am covered by my husband’s vision plan. I guess I am just afraid of the result. If ever I can get my eyes checked I have found a website that I would like to get my glasses from. I know there are very inexpensive prescription eyeglasses at Zenni Optical for as low as just $6.95. My sister Richel has prescription eyeglasses from Zenni Optical and they look cute on her.

They are very stylish and have a great design. Zenni has many great designs in all the colors and designs you could ever want. They also have specialty glasses like bifocals and sunglasses. Well if you’re looking for eyeglasses that are very inexpensive Zenni Optical is the place to visit.

Charles is my little helper

I'm almost done cleaning our house. My toddler helped me cleaned up the windows and he really liked it. Charles is my little big helper. He likes putting our clothes on the washer even when it is not dirty. So when I couldn't see our hand towels in the kitchen surely they are already inside the washer. Well, it is very sunny outside after the severe weather we had for the last 2 days. I promised Charles that we will go outside later in the afternoon. He is very excited because he got a magnifying glass from his aunt Cheryl. He wants to look some insects and use his magnifying glass. Anyway, I am glad though my husband can go home early today. They don't have professional development meeting after class which is a good thing.

Charles deleted his Easter video

My husband was about to save Charles Easter video from his iPhone and found out it was deleted by Charles. My husband was really upset so he deleted all of Charles games on his phone. Charles was upset as well so he went into his bedroom and slept. It was the second time that Charles had slept on his bedroom and I am thinking of moving him into our bed. My husband couldn't sleep as well. It was about 12:38 a.m. when I heard Charles said; "Mommy, mommy" and ran into our bed. I am at peace when my son is sleeping in our bed and I saw my husband smiled as well.

Hidden Sun Risks

April 12, 2012

Sitting by the pool or lying on a beach aren't the only times to safeguard your skin. Don't forget the sunscreen in these situations:

Your cummute
Your skin is exposed to the sun in your car-and expert are seeing an increase in skin issues they suspect are driving related. "I often notice more fine lines, precancerous and even cancerous spots on the left side of patients' faces than the right for this reason," says D'Anne Kleinsmith, MD, a dermatologist in Bloomfield Hills, MI, and spokeswoman for the American Academy of Dermatology.

Working indoors
UVA rays come in through windows, and if you're in a room with a lot of sunlight, there's a good chance the rays will reflect off other surfaces as well. Plus, "many environmentally friendly light bulbs also emit small amounts of UVA rays, which means that the cumulative daily exposure can affect your skin over time," says Dr. Franks.

A windy day
In general, you should slather on the sunscreen every two hours outdoors. But if you're swimming, sweating during exercise or relaxing on a boat on a windy day, reapply hourly. Wind wears away sunscreen just as water and perspiration do, says Rebecca Baxt, MD, a dermatologist and assistant professor of clinical dermatology at New York University.

Impressive payout rate

April 10, 2012

I just logged on IPL and noticed the payout rate of some opportunities are very impressive. Too bad for my blog. These opportunities requires PR 3 and this blog has PR 2. I'm hoping though my PR would increase this year so I can get more opportunities. Oh well, it is almost 5 o'clock and I'm about to start to cook our dinner. I'm sure my son is going to love the food that I am going to cook. He loves chicken and pork adobo but tonight I am going to cook pork adobo. My husband loves it too so better start cooking!

Have a Happy Easter to everyone.

Are you looking for painters and decorators?

April 04, 2012

I have been a huge fan over the last few years of the Home and Gardening Network (HGTV). I have seen many beautiful homes both new and redecorated.  I really like the granite table tops, stainless appliances and lighting improvements which are easier to do. I also love the total rebuilding shows that have homes with additions and major improvements. I have also learned how important having a modern and refreshing look can be to your home’s worth. Home renovating and adding decorations definitely adds value to your home and they do not have to break your budget. If you’re tired of living in your outdated home and décor and you want to make some changes like fresh paint, you can hire professional painters and decorators. The website, http://www.te-decor.co.uk has experienced painters and decorators and have been serving customers for many years.

The painters and decorators can easily understand your style and vision of your home. They know what you really need when it comes to your home decorations and paint that can make your home look special and beautiful. They offer affordable painting and decorating services in Essex, London and the United Kingdom. Other services include wallpapering, tiling, interior and exterior décor services. Whatever you may need you can have it just as you want.

Within my Control

April 03, 2012

Thanks for the guest post by Donn Schroeder

Living out on our ten acre farm, I’d always felt somewhat isolated from the outside world. For a long time, that was okay. I was able to avoid many of the stresses of the world but after some time, I began to feel like I was missing out on life. Now that we have hughes internet service, I can get as much or as little information on what’s going on around me as I want. It’s like having the best of both worlds. Some days I must admit to spending too much time on the internet, especially when I am trying to find information about something. But it’s nice that I can also turn it off. There are other days that I don’t even turn on my computer and it’s almost like a mini-vacation! I love that with today’s technology I can control how involved I am in the outside world. Some days I have enough going on in my own life that I don’t want to be bothered with the world’s problems and I don’t have to be. But if I get bored, it’s all there with a touch of a button.

At last!

I always checked my tasks using my iPhone. Lately, the app that I have been using is giving me an error. I don't know why. At least though I got a task today, thanks to the blog advertising site. Well, I should be posting the picture shown in here yesterday but I had quite a busy day or I should say I was too lazy yesterday. Let say it that way..hahaha. I cooked this sweet potato (camote) yesterday. I was craving for something sweet and I don't want to eat chocolate. I tried not to buy chocolates at the store for the sake of my son and my husband. My husband has type 2 diabetes and it is hard for him not to eat chocolates.

Anyway last night, I was about to print some of the coupons and clicked the ones that I really need. While printing, I noticed all the coupons on the website was printed and it was too many of them. So now, all I have to do is reuse the bond paper on the side when I print next time.

My Escabeche

I had quite a busy day today. I went to the Asian store but I never let Charles go inside the store because he doesn't like the smell and he always complained about it. I bought galungong and other pinoy foods. Then we went to Walmart and bought some groceries that we forgot to buy yesterday. On our way home, my husband drove on a different street and just realized he was driving into the cemetery. Inside the cemetery he drove 2 different street and at the very end of it, it has no exit. What in the world? I thought my husband was just kidding for April fools day when he drove down to the cemetery but he wasn't. When we got back home I cooked my galungong and it tasted very good.

Oh well, just another week ahead of us. I was expecting this Friday my husband does not have to go to work but I was wrong. In the Philippines, Holy Week is sacred and you have lots of holidays to enjoy with your family. Not in here! Only in America where everyone goes to work on Good Friday.
